Flowers Invited To Play In Prestigious Invitational

Jonte Flowers PORTSMOUTH, VA -- Winona State University, senior, guard, Jonte Flowers has been invited to play in the prestigious 56th Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament April 9-12.

Flowers will be one of 64 outstanding basketball players who will be showcased.

The P.I.T., the nation's oldest amateur basketball tournament, is recognized by National Basketball Association and European scouts as the premier showcase for future professional players and is the only tournament for college seniors to participate in and be evaluated by the NBA prior to the NBA's pre-draft camp in Orlando, FL.

Flowers helped lead the WSU Warriors to two (2006 and 2008) NCAA Division II National championships and three straight Elite Eight championship games in his career. During Flowers' career the Warriors set a Division II record for consecutive wins with 57 and were 97-3 in his last 100 games.
