Flowers Signs To Play In Sweden

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University All-American Jonte Flowers has signed to play professional basketball for the Solna Vikings in the Swedish Obel Basketball League.

Flowers signed a one-year contract, with no financial terms announced.

The Solna Vikings, founded in 1999, are located in Stockholm, Sweden and won the league's gold medal in 2003 and 2008. The Vikings have all ready begun practice sessions in preparation for league play that begins in October.

Flowers helped lead the WSU Warriors to the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2006 and 2008.
