WSU 3rd At Truman State Eevent

KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Winona State University trimmed four shots from its first day's total and went on to place third in the 16-team, 36-hole, two-day, Bulldog Invitational held at the Kirksville Country Club.

The Warriors opened tournament play with a 298 and then on the second day followed up on the par-71 course with a 294 for the second 18 holes of play for a 592 total, 27 strokes off the winning team margin.

Jeff Porter paced the Warriors, shooting a one-over par 72 on the second day to finish with a 146 total and a tie for sixth place. Kevin Loeffler and John Anderson each came up with two-day totals of 148 to tie for 13th and Ross Wilhelm and Brady Strangstalien each came in with 36-hole finals of 154 to tie for 43rd.
