Warriors 2nd At Home Event

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University hosted the Express Suites Riverport Inn Classic at the Bridges Golf Club and finished second out of six teams.
The Warriors, leaders after the first 18 holes of the two-day, 16-hole event, opened with a 282 total and followed that up with a 287 to post a 569, four strokes off the winning pace set by St. Cloud State University.
Ross Wilhelm tied for second in the medalist play for the Warriors and WSU placed five players in the top 20. Wilhelm came up with a one-under-par 139 after shooting a two-under-par 68 on the second day.
Keegan Drugan followed for WSU in a tie for sixth (69-73-142), Kevin Loeffler tied for 11th (70-74-144), Brady Strangstalien tied for 14th (74-72-146) and Jeff Porter was 17th with scores of 72-75-147.
John Anderson, who played in the individual portion of the tournament, also tied for sixth for the Warriors with identical 71 rounds each day.
