Season Overview
Augustana has enjoyed its most successful season in 19 years. At 21-8, the Vikings recorded their first 20-win season since the 1988-89 campaign. That was also the last time Augustana had advanced to the NCAA Tournament until this season. The Vikings are making their seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Picked to finish sixth out of seven teams in the NCC Preseason Media Poll, Augustana went 8-4 in league play and finished in second place outright in the final league standings. The Vikings then defeated Minnesota Duluth in the opening round of the NCC Tournament before getting knocked off by North Dakota in the semifinals. The Vikings are 3-4 against the rest of the regional field. Of those losses, one was a 98-97 double overtime setback at Nebraska-Omaha and another was a 78-74 overtime loss at Minnesota State.
