Season Summary

Winona State University continues to nearly not miss a beat. The Warriors are making their fifth NCAA Division II Tournament appearance and are hosting their third straight North Central Region Tournament. After a disheartening loss in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight Championship game last year the Warriors have comeback to post a 32-1 record and a 26-game winning streak.
John Smith, 2006-2007 Division II Player of the Year, has been joined with fellow All-America teammate Jonte Flowers to set a couple of records. Smith has played in more games than any player in the history of Division II and this year broke the WSU career scoring record. Flowers, a four-time conference Defensive Player of the Year, set the NCAA Division II career record for steals.
For the past two years WSU is 67-2 and in its past 100 games is 95-5.
