WINONA, MN -- Winona State University opened its home season by shutting out Augustana College of Sioux Falls, SD 1-0 in nonconference play on Maxwell Field at Alltel Stadium.
The lone goal in match came at the 43:20 mark when Holly Sutton found the back of the net with an assist from Leslie Schumacher. The No. 7-ranked Warriors then held on defense as Amanda Diehm came up with five saves and WSU allowed only ten shots in 90 minutes of play.
