Warriors Blank MSU Mavericks

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University scored early and then held on for a 1-0 nonconference win over Minnesota State University on Maxwell Field at Alltel Stadium.

Amelia Kasten scored her second goal of the season, when she popped in the ball into the MSUM net off a pass from Heidi Woerle.

MSUM outshot the Warriors 20-10 but each team had five shots on goal and the Warriors' Amanda Diehm came up with all five saves.

It was the second straight 1-0 win for the Warriors.
