Kasten vs Upper Iowa WINONA, MN -- A first-half goal explosion, led by the natural hattrick by Gina Florian, keyed a 6-0 Winona State University nonconference win over Upper Iowa University on Maxwell Field at Alltel Stadium.

Florian scored three of the Warriors' first four goals in the first 19 minutes and 12 seconds of the first half. Florian then added an assist on Amelia's Kasten goal that came at 22:04 of the opening period and closed out the first half scoring by the Warriors.

WSU added to its best scoring performance of the season with goals by Holly Sutton and Michelle Shannon in the second half.

WSU gave up just three shots on goal with Amanda Diehm working the nets in the first half and coming up with two saves. Amanda Kramer then went to the nets for WSU in the second half and posted one save.

The six goals the Warriors scored was one sort of the seven total they scored in their first six matches.
