Warriors Topple Upper Iowa

FAYETTE, IA - Winona State University scored two goals in the first ten minutes and went on to defeat Upper Iowa University 3-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.

Holly Sutton paced the Warriors with a goal and two assists for four points. Sutton scored the second WSU goal, this coming at 8:30 in the first half, three minutes and ten seconds after Kallie Tellefsen scored the first Winona State goal. Gina Florian polished off the WSU scoring with her goal at the 52:00 mark.

Annie Lauterer, Michelle Shannon and Amelia Kasten all recorded assists.

Amanda Diehm and Amanda Kramer split the goal keeping duties with Diem working the first 78 minutes. Kramer stopped the only shot on goal UIU had.

Sutton's effort came on five shots, two on goal.
