Warriors Defeat Wayne State, NE

WAYNE, NE -- Winona State University built a 5-0 lead and went on to post a 5-2 win over Wayne State College in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
Leslie Stomacher paced the Warriors a pair of goals. Her first came at 38:52 to give WSU a 3-0 and her last was recorded at 54:39, which was the last for the Warriors.
Holly Sutton scored the first goal for WSU at 3:18 and Kallie Tellefsen followed up nearly 20 minutes later with her goal. Rachel Matthews, who had an assist on Schumacher's first goal, netted Winona State's fourth goal at 47:35. Kayla Walters was credited with two assists and Sutton also came up with an assist.
Amanda Diehm started in goal for the Warriors and pitched a shutout for the first 61:53 of the match, while coming up with a save.
WSU had 11 shots on goal out of 20 shots and WSC had four shots on goal in seven overall shots.
