Warriors To Host Regional Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee has announced that Winona State University will host matches in the first two rounds of the Central Region Tournament.
The Warriors (16-3-1) were named the No. 2 Seed in the region and will host a 1:00 p.m. matches Friday, November 9 and Sunday, November 11 on Maxwell Field at Alltel Stadium. The first match of the tournament will feature No. 3 Seed University of Nebraska-Omaha (12-5) against No. 6 Truman State University, MO (15-6-1). That winner will take on the Warriors in a match Nov. 11.
In the other half of the region bracket, Minnesota State University Mankato (17-2) received the No. 1 Seed and will host and play against the winner of No. 4 Seed University of Mary, ND (15-4) and No. 5 Seed Central Missouri State University (12-4-3).
The winner of the two halves in the bracket will then move on to the third round of the tournament November 16. The highest remaining seed of the two will host the tournament with the two remaining teams from the Great Lake Region. The two region winners then will play the quarterfinal match November 18 at the Central Region site.
