WSU Garners Honors; Sutton Named Region MVP

TOPEKA, KS -- Winona State University's, senior, forward, Holly Sutton has been named the 2007 Daktronics NCAA II Women's Soccer All-Central Region Most Valuable Player and was selected with four other Warriors to the All-Region team.
Sutton was joined by, defender, Molly Blum and, goalkeeper, Amanda Diehm on the region's first team, while, forward, Amelia Kasten and, midfielder, Kayla Walters were placed on the second team.
The No. 10 Warriors (16-3-1) are the No. 2 Seed in the NCAA Division II Central Region.
Sutton leads the Warriors in scoring with 13 goals and 12 assists for 38 points, while Diehm is the No. 1 goalkeeper in NCAA II with a 0.223 goals against average and a .938 save percentage through matches played through November 4.
