Sutton Named To Second All-America Team

Holly Sutton KANSAS CITY, KS -- Winona State University's, senior, forward, Holly Sutton has been named to the NSCAA/adidas All-America Third Team.

It is the second All-America Team Sutton has been named to this year and the third straight year a WSU player has been named to the NSCAA/adidas All-America Team. She joined Kayla Walters and Christine Beatty to previous NSCAA/adidas All-America teams.

Earlier Sutton was named to the Daktronics All-America team. She also was the Daktronics Central Region Player of the Year and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the year, while earring All-Region and All-Conference First Team honors.

The Warriors, No. 17 in the final national rankings, compiled a 16-3-2 record this season and reached the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament.

NCAA Division II statistics also show that the Warriors had the top defense in the country, allowing only seven goals on the season.
