Tellefsen Kelly Scholar-Athlete Recipient

ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University soccer player Kallie Tellefsen is the 2008 Willis R. Kelly Scholar-Athlete Award for Academic Excellence recipient as announced by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
This is the 23rd year the Kelly Scholar-Athlete Award has been presented to the NSIC's top female student-athlete.
The member institutions of the NSIC nominate one female student-athlete for the Kelly Award. The nominees must meet the following criteria: a grade point average of 3.2 or better; evidence of academic excellence beyond the minimum grade point average (scholarship prizes and other academic recognition), evidence of participation in the life of the institution and evidence of participation in at least two-thirds of the varsity events of the individual's primary sport.
Tellefsen will be recognized July 25 at the 2008 NSIC Hall of Fame Banquet at the Best Western Kelly Inn and Convention Center in St. Cloud, MN. Tellefsen will receive a $1,000 post-graduate scholarship.
