DULUTH, MN -- No. 3-ranked Winona State University scored in the second half and held on to defeat the University of Minnesota Duluth 1-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.

The win was the ninth straight for the Warriors and also their fifth straight shutout victory and seventh shutout win out of ten wins.

Lauren Strudivant came up with third game-winning goal of the season, as she got the ball from Leslie Schumacher and found the back of the net just two minutes and 45 seconds into the second half.

The Warriors were outshot 11-9, but had one more shot on goal (5-4) than the Bulldogs.

Amanda Diehm came up with the win in the nets, stopping four shots on goal. The last stop by Diehm came with eight minutes and 35 seconds left to play.
