JAMESTOWN, ND -- Winona State University scored all of its goals in the first half and
coasted to a 4-0 win over Jamestown College in nonconference soccer action October 12.
The shutout was the seventh of the season for the Warriors and set a new single-season
school record for shutouts. The shutout was recorded by freshman goal keeper Crystal
Perarson, who stopped four of the Jimmies' shots, and that also broke a single-season
individual school record for Warrior goal keepers.
All the scoring for WSU came on single goals -- Christine Nettenstrom, Jenny Winders,
Kate Massey and Betsy Morgan. Jill Menzies got the lone assist for the Warriors.
Nettenstrom got credit for the winning goal and with her effort against Moorhead State
University October 11, earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of
the Week honors.
The Warriors improve to 10-4 on the season.
