Both Winona State University and North Dakota State University had 12 shots on goal,
but NDSU scored once in each half and posted a 2-0 win over the Warriors September 26th in
nonconference play at Maxwell Field.
The loss snapped the Warriors' winning streak at six matches and gives them a 6-3
record for the year.
Junior Andrea Zilka, who had scored three goals in her last two games, and freshman
Jessica Brancale, the Warriors' leading scorer, each had three of WSU's 12 shots, but
neither could put the ball in the net.
Freshman goal keeper Crystal Pearson stopped eight of the 12 shots the Bison had on
goal.
The Bison run their record to 7-1 for the season.
