STARKVILLE, MS -- The final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Poll of the year came out and Winona State University was ranked No. 15.

The Warriors compiled a 38-15 record and were runners-up in the NCAA Division II North Central Region Tournament to Emporia State University, KS. Emporia State went on to place second in the final eight portion of the national tournament.

WSU finished off the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular-seconds with a second-place record of 14-4, but went on to sweep through the NSIC Tournament undefeated and earned an automatic berth in the region tournament.

Winona State has played back-to-back years in the region tournament and has been in the tournament four times in the last six years.




Warriors Add Three To 2008-09 Squad

WSU Puts Three On Region All-Tournament Team

EMPORIA, KS -- Winona State University recorded its best ever finish in the NCAA Division II North Central Region and placed three players on the All-Tournament Team.
