GREEN BAY, WI -- Winona State University swept a pair of games by scores of 3-2 and 4-0 from NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in fall campaign play.
Pitching proved to be the difference, as Kristen Fossell picked up her second win of the fall by throwing four innings of shutout ball. Chelsey Ewing gave up two unearned runs in the contest but still managed to garner the save. Annie Stuedemann and Chelsea Rosenow each had two hits in the WSU eight-hit attack, while Kelly Ward, Callie Givens and Katie Maultra each drove in a run.
In the second game, Kayla Kastenmeier and Stacey Struzynski combined for a seven-inning shutout. The duo got nine hits from their teammates with Ward and Laura Wright coming up with two each.
