Warriors Win Seven Events

LA CROSSE, WI -- Winona State University won seven events in losing 86-45 in a duel meet held at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Jess Devine broke the school record in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of :08.28 in the preliminaries and then tied what was her previous school record by winning the event in :08.36 seconds.
Emily King continued her strong indoor season with a first-place toss of 59-feet, 8 1/4-inches in the 20-pound weight throw, while Nikki Lonning made it a sweep of first places in the two throw events with a winning throw of 44-6 1/4 in the shot put.
The other first-place finishes for the Warriors went to Lindsey Derby in the 55-meter dash (:07.54), Theresa Pawelko in the 400-meter dash (1:01.17) and to Allie Glasbrenner in the 3,000-meter run (11:03.59).
The meet was held in preparation of the Warriors' defense of their back-to-back Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field championships.
