WSU Captures Several Firsts At Saint Mary's Meet

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University came up with eight first-place finishes at the Saint May's University meet.

Winning for the Warriors was Lindsey Derby (55-meter dash, :07.46), Allie Glassbrenner (Mile, 5:22.82), Kelly Milkert (400-meter dash, 1:00.87), Michelle Schreiner (800-meter run, 2:22.93), Jenna Southworth (1,000-meter run, 3:15.56), Kale Johnson (high jump, 4-10 1/4), Alyssa Lammers (long jump, 16-3) and Chelsey Brown (weight throw, 53-1).

The 4 x 400 relay team came in first with a time of 4:03.74.

Coming in second was Kaitlyn Jensen (600-meter run, 1:47.58), Kathryn McElroy (1,000, 3:17.54) and Emily Asuncion (55 hurdles, :08.71).

Rounding out the top three finishes for WSU was Nicci Johnson (200-meter dash, :27.09), Bethany Easker (Mile, 5:36.60), Asuncion (triple jump, 33-8 1/2), Rebbeca Stier (shot put, 39-6 1/2) and Michelle Schultze (weight throw, 47-1).
