WSU Throwers Compete at Wartburg Event

WAVERLY, IA -- Chelsey Brown led a contingent of Winona State University throwers with a first and a third place in the Wartburg Twilight Meet.

Brown won the shot put with a thorw of 41-feet, 8 1/2-inches and was third in the hammer throw at a distance of 144-6.

Placing second for the Warriors was Rebecca Stier in the discus (128-1/2) and Krystle Loning in the javelin (96-1 1/2).

Adding a third was Caitlin Brendum in the discus (124-6 1/2).
