Warriors Take League Honors

WAYNE, NE -- Jenna Southworth headed a list of Winona State University individuals who earned honors at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Southworth was named to the All-Conference team by placing second in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase.

The Warriors also added five individuals and one relay team who were named Honorable Mention All-Conference. Named were: Lauren Brown (Javelin), Lindsey Derby (100-meter dash), Jennifer Bradford (400-meter dash), Lisa Meyer (400-meter hurdles) and Rebecca Stier in both the shot put and discus. All placed third in their respective events.

The 4 x 100 relay team set a WSU record and placed second in the event to earn Honorable Mention honors. On the relay team was Samantha Lisowski, Derby, Nikki Olson and Jess Devine.

Winona State placed fourth in the final championship standings.
