WSU Picked To Finish 5th In NSIC

ST. PAUL, MN -- The volleyball coaches in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference have come out with their preseason poll and have selected Winona State University to place fifth for the 2007 league season.
The Warriors totaled 60 points in the poll, just three points behind Minnesota State University Moorhead which came up with 63 points.
Concordia University-St. Paul received seven first-place votes and came up with 85 total points to become the preseason favorite to win the conference championship. Southwest Minnesota State University followed in second with two first-place votes and 81 points while Wayne State College, NE garnered the only other first-place vote and totaled 78 points.
Winona State University finished sixth in the 2006 NSIC race with an 8-10 league mark and closed out the season with a 17-16 overall record.
