ALAMOSA, CO -- Winona State University opened its season with a 3-1 record in the Best Western Alamosa Inn/Grizzly Volleyball Classic and Carmen Stankowski earned MVP and All-Tournament honors.

Stankowski finished with 58 kills, 3.87 per game, and five service aces, 0.33 per game, in the 15 total games the Warriors played.

WSU was one of four teams to finish with a 3-1 record in the seven-team tournament.
