Warriors Split Tournament Matches

ROMEOVILLE, IL -- Winona State University split its first two matches in the Flyer Festival.
The Warriors opened its play in the Flyer Festival with a 3-0 win over the University of St. Francis, IL and then lost to the host Lewis University, IL team 3-0.
WSU lost to LU by scores of 30-25, 30-22, 30-22.
WSU won the first two games against USF by identical scores of 30-19 and then won Game Three 30-28.
Kim Nemcek and Carmen Stankowski each had 12 kills for the Warriors and Susan Clausen came up with 29 assists.
Rudi Balich had nine digs and Kiresten Arendt recorded four total blocks in the WSU win.
Against Lewis, Stankowski finished with 11 kills and 10 digs, while Lisa Dobie came up with 38 assists and 10 digs and Balich and Nemcek had 13 digs and three total blocks respectively.
