Warriors Lose To St. Cloud State
Story by: Winona State Sports Information Office
ST. CLOUD, MN -- Lisa Dobie came up with a triple-double, but it was not enough in Winona State University's 3-1 loss in nonconference play to St. Cloud State University.
Dobie came up with 50 assists, 14 digs and 10 kills, but the Warriors could win only Game Three by a 30-23 count. In the first two games St. Cloud won 30-24 and 30-28 and then the Huskies posted a match-winning 31-29 decision in Game Four.
The Warriors did have a pretty solid offensive night with four players in double-figure kills, led by the 15 from Carmen Stankowski. Kim Nemcek added 14 kills and Kerry Daly finished with 12.
Defensively, Rudi Balich had a WSU-high 29 digs, Mollie Bjelland came up with 22 and Stankowski and Crystal Otte each had ten digs.
