Warrior Duo Grab NSIC Honors

Carmen Stankowski ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University's Carmen Stankowski and Lisa Dobie grabbed Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference honors announced by the league.

Stankowski was named the NSIC Player of the Week, while Dobie was picked the NSIC Setter of the Week. The pair led the Warriors to a couple of match sweeps an ran WSUs' game winning streak to nine.

Stankowski was a terror from the hitting line, coming up with a total of 35 kills and an incredible .500 hitting percentage. Stankowski had 18 kills and a .429 hitting percentage against Northern State University and then came up with 17 kills and an impressive .593 kill percentage against the University of Mary.

Dobie played a key part in the kills by Stankowski, as she averaged 14.83 assists per game in the two NSIC matches. Dobie added six service aces, 18 digs and had a solid .359 hitting percentage in six games.
