WSU Extends Streak To Five

WSU vs Upper Iowa WINONA, MN -- Winona State University ran its winning steak to five matches with its fourth straight shutout by defeating Upper Iowa University 3-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play at McCown Gymnasium.

With the shutout, the Warriors ran its consecutive game win streak 12 as WSU came up with wins on scores of 30-19, 30-14 and 30-22.

Led by a .432 hitting percentage in the second game, the Warriors finished off a solid night of attacking by coming up with a .336 team total. Carmen Stankowski led the effort with 13 kills and a .550 hitting percentage, while Lisa Dobie added another ten WSU kills.

Dobie also came up with 38 assists and Crystal Otte totaled 12 digs. Kim Nemcek had a team-high four total blocks.
