WSU Bests Minnesota, Crookston

CROOKSTON, MN -- Winona Sate University ran its winning streak to three matches with a 3-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win over the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
It was the eighth win in the last nine matches for the Warriors, who have won 21 of their last 24 games.
WSU opened with a 30-18 win then fought off the Golden Eagles for a 31-29 victory before closing out the match with a 30-25 decision.
Rudi Balich led the Warriors with 12 kills and 13 digs, while Lisa Dobie scored a double-double on 44 assist an 10 digs.
Carmen Stankowski also had a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs, and Kim Nemcek came up with 11 kills, while Mollie Bjelland added 11 digs.
