Warriors Drop Final Regular Season Contest

Story by: WSU Sports Information Department

WINONA, MN -- The Wildcats of Wayne State, NE came into today's game knowing that they had lost to Winona State the last time they met.  It turns out they would not allow that to happen twice in a row, defeating the Warriors 3-0 today in McCown Gymnasium.

In the last regular season game of their careers, seniors Lisa Dobie, Crystal Otte and Kiersten Arendt, fittingly, led the team in the major statistical categories.  Dobie came away with a team leading 23 assists and was second on the team in digs with 14 to Otte with 16.  And Arendt (along with Carmen Stankowski and Kim Nemcek) led the Warriors with six kills.

Next up for the Warriors is round one of the NSIC Tournament on Tuesday night November 6th.
