Warriors Fall At U Of Mary

BISMARCK, ND -- The University of Mary went on a 17-6 run during nearly seven an a half minutes of the second half in heading to a 74-68 win over Winona State University in the season-opening Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game for both teams.
The game was tied at 40-all with 19 minutes left to play when the Marauders went on their run to take a 57-46 lead with 12:19 left. WSU eventually cut its deficit to four point, 72-68, with 13 seconds left to play, but two final UM free throws sealed the Warriors' fate.
The game was tied 38-38 at halftime.
Jamie Majerowicz led the Warriors with 15 points, Molly Anderson added 10 and Natalie Gigler came off the bench to score another 10 WSU points.
