Warriors Run Past Mount Mercy

WINONA, MN --Winona State University went on a 14-2 run to start the game and ran past Mount Mercy College 71-34 in nonconference play at McCown Gymnasium.
The Warriors finished off the first half with a 35-14 lead and then outscored the Mustangs 35-20 in the final 20 minutes of play.
WSU had a balanced night of scoring as 10 of the 11 Warriors to play in the game scored. Jamie Majerowicz led the attack with 15 points, while Jenny Steffen netted 11 and Kelsey Homewood and Nikki Fleck rounded out the quartet of double-figure scorers with 10 points each.
WSU dominated the board 50-30 with Amanda Reimer grabbing a game-high eight rebounds for the Warriors.
