Bench Key To WSU Win Over Upper Iowa

Jenny Steffen WINONA, MN -- Winona State University came up with three players off the bench who scored in double figures and rolled to a 74-54 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win over Upper Iowa University at McCown Gymnasium.

Jenny Steffen, Kelsey Homewood and Bonnie Bjorke all came off the bench to score in double figures with Steffen leading the way with a team-high 16 points. Homewood cashed in four three-point field goals and tallied 14 points and Bjorke was six-of-eight from the field for 13 points.

Amanda Reimer was the only WSU starter to score in double figures with ten points.

Reimer and Bjorke each had a team-high seven rebounds.

WSU put the game under control in the first half by outscoring UIU 37-19.
