Amanda Reimer WINONA, MN -- Winona State University's winning streak came to an end at five games, as the Warriors lost 78-72 to Wayne State College, NE in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play at McCown Gymnasium.

The Warriors kept the game close throughout the contest, but just never could get over the hump.

Wayne State hit a field goal at the end of first-half play for a 36-35 lead and then outscored the Warriors 42-37 in the final 20 minutes of play.

The Warriors finished with three players in double figures, led by the 19 points from Amanda Reimer, 16 from Ana Wurtz and Jenny Steffen, who came off the bench, scored 15 points.

The Warriors controlled the boards 36-29 and were 18 of 19 from the free throw line.
