WSU Falls To No. 3 Concordia In OT

ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University forced No. 3-ranked Concordia University St. Paul into overtime before falling 83-79 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play at the Ganglehoff Center.

The game was tied eight times and the lead changed 12 times and WSU did have a chance to win the game outright in regulation play when the Molly Anderson stepped to the free throw line with 0.9 of a second left to play. But Anderson missed the front end of the one-and-one situation.

In the extra period CSP went up 79-73 with 1:57, but the Warriors rallied to tie the game, as Jenny Steffen converted four consecutive free throws with 53 seconds left. But that would be the last time WSU would score and CSP tacked on the final four points of the game.

Jamie Majerowicz paced the Warriors with 19 points, Molly Anderson added 13 and Steffen finished with 10. Andrson added seven assists, one blocked shot and four steals.

WSU did outrebounded the Golden Bears, but the final difference in the game from the free throw line where WSU as 15-of-20 and CSP was 19-of-25.
