Warriors Clipped By BSU's Lawson

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University could not stop Bemidji State University's Amy Lawson and dropped an 84-82 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference decision at McCown Gymnasium.
Lawson got BSU going with 17 points in the fist half and the followed up with 21 in second for a game-high 38 points.
The two teams battled back and forth throughout the game with Bemidji taking its biggest lead at six points with 15:39 left in the half. Winona State came back to lead 38-34 and gained its biggest led of the game at ten points with 16:18 left to play. But in the end BSU and Lawson could not be overcome by the Warriors.
Natalie Gigler came off the bench and paced the Warriors with 22 points, Jeff Steffen also came off the bench to scored 17 points and starters Amanda Reimer and Ana Wurtz each netted 12 points.
Molly Anderson led the Warriors with 10 rebounds.
