Warriors Topple Northern State

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University held Northern State University to under 30 points in each half and went on to score a 64-55 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win in McCown Gymnasium.
The Warriors led 33-27 a the halftme break and then outscored the Wolves 31-28 to post their 15th win of the season. WSU is now two game away from setting an all-time single-season record for wins.
Winona State did most of its damage from the bench where the Warriors outscored NSU 35-9. Jenny Steffen led the bench charge with 15 points and Kelsey Homewood followed with 14. Molly Anderson was the only starter to score in double figures with ten points.
WSU dominated the boards 64-55 with Anderson pulling down a team-high six.
