WSU To Host Tournament Opener

ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University will host its first ever Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament game when the Warriors will go up against Minnesota State University Moorhead Saturday, March 1, in a 6:00 p.m. contest at McCown Gymnasium.
The Warriors earned themselves a No. 4 Seed, while the MSUM Dragons will come in as the No. 5 Seed.
In the upper portion of the Warriors' bracket, No. 1 Seed Concordia University St. Paul will go up against No. 8 Seed Southwest Minnesota State March 1 at 6:0 p.m.
In the lower bracket, No. 2 Wayne State College, NE will host No. 7 Northern State University in a 300 p.m. game, while No. 3 Seed University of Mary will face No. 6 Seed Bemidji State Uniersity in a 7:00 p.m. at Bismarck, ND.
The four winners will advance to semifinal round play March 7 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
The championship game is set for March 8 at 7:00 p.m. The winner will receive an automatic berth in the NCAA Division II North Central Region Tournament March 14-15 and 17.
