Warriors Drop Tournament Tilt

WINONA, MN -- A very difficult first half proved disastrous for Winona State University, as the Warriors dropped a 72-55 decision to Minnesota State University Moorhead in the opening round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament at Mcown Gymnasium.

The Warriors hit on just 10-of-30 shots from the field and were outrebounded 24-9 in the first 20 minutes of play. With that difference MSUM went on to take  39-26 lead at the break.

The Warriors did not fare any better in the second half, as they connected on just 8-of-23 from the field. For the game MSUM outrebounded the Warriors 47-18.

Molly Anderson and Natalie Gigler led the Warriors with 11 points each and Ana Wurtz came up with 10.

The Warriors finish the season with a 21-9 record.
