Warriors Second In Season Opener

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University placed two runners in the top five and three in the top 15 in placing second at the Saint Mary's Invitational.
The Warriors totaled 73 points, nosing out Luther College by four points. Augustana College of Sioux Falls, SD won the meet with 26 points.
Freshman, Bethany Easker paced the Warriors by coming in fourth with a time of 20:51.7 and, sophomore, teammate, Allie Glasbrenner was :03.9 seconds behind in fifth place.
Sophomore Steph Smith rounded out the Warrior Top 15 finish by coming in 13th with a time of 21:07.3.
WSU also had some solid pack running, as, freshmen, Madie Heinrich (22:11.0) and Michelle Jeske (22:19.0) came in 25th and 26th respectively, while, sophomore, Lena Parrilli was 29th (22:31.6).
Freshman, Kelly Rieber rounded out the eight top runners for WSU by placing 32nd in 23:28.0.
