WSU In 3rd At NSIC Championship

BECKER, MN -- Winona State University stood in third place after the completion of the Fall Championship portion of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships held at the Pebble Creek Golf Course.
The Warriors came up with a, two-day, 36-hole, total of 665, four strokes out of second place and 40 strokes by the leading team from Upper Iowa University.
The completion of the conference championship will be held in the spring.
Individually, the Warriors' Megan Placko is in second place with a ten-over par total of 154 after posting two-day rounds of 76 and 78.
Tara Christensen is alone in seventh place with a 161 (81-80) and Courtney Sovereign rounded out the Warriors' top 20 efforts tied for 16th with 174 (91-83).
Hilary Botton, who competed in the individual portion of the meet is tied or 19th with 176 (88-88).
