WSU 3rd At Maverick Invitational

WASECA, MN -- Winona State University finished third in the Maverick Invitational held at the Lakeside Golf Course.

The Warriors shot seven strokes less than the first day of 18 holes with a 345 and totaled a 697 for the 36 holes.

Megan Placko was the Warriors' medalist with a (84-84) 168 total, nine strokes off the pace and good enough to tie for third.

WSU finished with four others players in the top 20. Katie Schuller tied for 12th (88-85-173), Hilary Botton tied for 14th (87-87-174), Tara Christensen was 19th (89-87-176) and Michelle Narveson tied for 20th (90-88-178).
