WSU Falls To Saint Mary's

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University took on crosstown rival Saint Mary's University and lost a 5-4 nonconference decision at St. T's.

Mary Hesterman and Heather Pierce paced the Warriors with a couple of wins each, while Kaycee Moore and Ericka Richae won at No. 3 doubles.

Hesterman and Pierce won the No. 1 doubles match 8-3 and Moore and Richae won 8-4.

Both Pierce and Hesterman won in singles play with Pierce winning 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 and Hesterman coming back for a 6-1, 10-3 win after losing the first set 3-6.
