Warriors Captures First Win

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University won its first match of the year with a 5-4 win over Lewis University, IL in nonconference action at St. T's.

Holly Peltier and Kaycee Moore were involved in a pair of wins to help lead the Warriors to their first win of the season.

Peltier teamed up with Ericka Richae to win the No. 2 doubles match 8-3 and then Peliter won at No. 5 singles in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.

Moore and teammate Courtney Zinter won the No. 3 doubles match 8-1 and Moore posted a straight-set, 6-0, 6-2, win at No. 6 singles.

The other WSU win came at No. 1 singles where Heather Pierce won another straight-set win by WSU, 6-3, 6-3.
