Pierce Named Player Of The Week

ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University's Heather Pierce has been named Northern Sun Intercollegaite Conference Player of the Week.

Pierce helped the Warriors to a split of matches last week but went undefeaeted in the four matches she competed in. Pierce did not lose a a game in a straight-set win in play against Northern State University and then won 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 in action against the College of St. Benedict's. Both matches were at No. 1 singles.

Pierece also won both of her No. 1 doubles matches and in ecah of the singles and doubles play extended her winning streak to three matches.
