Warriors Lose To Emporia State, KS Story by: Winona State Sports Information Office TOPEKA, KS -- Winona State University lost a 7-2 decision to No. 24-ranked Emporia Statre Univesity, KS. The Warriors got both of their wins in singles against regionally ranked players. Picking up wins for WSU were Heather Pierce in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3, of No. 1 singles and Kaycee Moore, who bounced back at No. 4 singles. Moore won the first set 6-4, only to lose the second set 6-2. But then rallied for a 10-6 win in the tie-breaking set.
