Warriors Win Two League Matches

ST. CLOUD, MN -- Winona State University came up with two Northern State University Conference wins, besting Minnesota State University Moorhead 6-1 and downing Bemidji State University 8-1.

Heather Pierce, Mary Hesterman and Holly Peltier all won four matches on the day. Pierce and Hesterman captured two No. 1 doubles matches, while Pierce lost only three games in two No. 1 singles match.

Hesterman won both of her No. 2 singles matches in straight sets and lost only five games in the process.

Adding to the WSU success was Ericka Richae, who won three matches as did Amanda Asche.
