Warriors Clipped By Upper Iowa

WATERLOO, IA -- Winona State University battled Upper Iowa University in all matches but came out on the short end of 5-4 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference decision.

Amanda Asche paced the Warriors with a tiebreaking win at No. 3 singles. It was Asche's third straight win and the first time in six tiebreaking matches this season where she came away a winner.

Also winning in singles play was Heather Pierce at No. 1 and Ericka Richae at No. 6.

Pierce and Mary Hesterman captured WSU's lone victory in doubles action.
